Johnson & Johnson seeks a Director for IMSC Project Portfolio Operations in Zug, CH. This hybrid role leads portfolio governance, strategic alignment, and team management within the Innovative Medicine Supply Chain.
This position serves as the central leader for decision-making and business processes within the Innovative Medicine Supply Chain (IMSC). The director is responsible for driving the achievement of strategic, operational, and financial goals by overseeing portfolio management capabilities and ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
Responsibilities
- Mature portfolio management capabilities across people, processes, and technology to implement standards for decision support and prioritization.
- Act as the business process owner for end-to-end portfolio capabilities, designing maturity roadmaps and leading initiatives to operationalize these functions.
- Provide governance, guidance, and oversight for project portfolio tools and processes to ensure optimal prioritization based on strategic priorities and available resources.
- Develop a robust project portfolio aligned with organizational strategies, including business planning and financial updates, while ensuring compliance and utilizing deep analytics.
- Oversee the execution of portfolio governance to maximize organizational benefits and deliver value.
- Recommend adjustments to the IMSC Leadership Team to ensure the portfolio supports strategic intent and optimizes business outcomes through efficient resource deployment.
- Drive senior leadership portfolio prioritization through analytics and ensure global integration for cross-governance portfolios.
- Collaborate with other supply chain segment leaders (Med Tech, R&D) to enhance visibility and leverage in project portfolio management across the front and back ends.
- Evolve portfolio business processes and support tools to anticipate business needs, increasing organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Partner with IMSC Finance to lead financial cycles (LRFP, BP, Financial Updates) for Capital and OpEx needs.
- Manage the health of global portfolio management processes, ensuring integration with strategic business processes like business planning and product lifecycle management.
- Lead and manage a global team with direct and indirect reporting relationships.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or Analytics.
- At least 10 years of experience, preferably within Supply Chain or Finance organizations.
- Prior experience in people leadership with strong talent development skills.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of leadership.
- Demonstrated capacity to synthesize large volumes of finance, process, and technical data to present clear, cogent recommendations.
Nice to have
- An MBA degree.
- Experience in portfolio management.
- Experience managing global teams and working outside the U.S.
- Experience implementing and functionally owning supporting systems.
- Familiarity with portfolio management systems.
