Johnson & Johnson seeks a Director of Business Excellence in Zuchwil, CH, to lead supply chain operational improvement frameworks and drive measurable performance gains across global operations.
The company is looking for a strategic leader within its Supply Chain & Operations division to design, deploy, and refine an end-to-end operational excellence framework. This position focuses on defining performance standards, benchmarking against industry peers, and partnering with site leaders to accelerate continuous improvement and deliver tangible business results.
Responsibilities
- Create and roll out a comprehensive SC&O Business Excellence framework aligned with enterprise goals.
- Establish KPIs and maturity models to evaluate operational performance and ensure accountability.
- Compare internal processes against industry benchmarks to find gaps and competitive opportunities.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, planning, procurement, logistics, and quality teams to implement best practices.
- Lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to improve cost, service, quality, and working capital.
- Manage a pipeline of improvement projects, prioritizing them by value and strategic fit.
- Develop organizational capabilities through training, coaching, and change management.
- Promote data-driven decisions using analytics, dashboards, and reporting tools.
- Work with senior leaders to turn business strategy into actionable operational roadmaps.
- Ensure process consistency, standardization, and scalability across the global network.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field.
- Over 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain, operations, or operational excellence roles within a complex, global organization.
- Proven track record of leading enterprise-level continuous improvement programs with measurable results.
- Strong expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, and process improvement methodologies.
- Experience developing KPIs, performance management systems, and benchmarking frameworks.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders in a matrixed environment.
- Strong analytical skills with experience leveraging data to drive decisions and business outcomes.
- English language proficiency required.
Nice to have
- Advanced degree (MBA, Master’s in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related discipline).
- Experience in MedTech, healthcare, or other highly regulated industries.
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Black Belt or Master Black Belt).
- Experience with digital/analytics tools supporting operational excellence (e.g., advanced analytics, automation, visualization platforms).
- Track record of building and scaling capability development programs across multiple sites.
- Experience supporting large-scale business transformation or system implementation initiatives.
- Strong financial acumen, including understanding of cost drivers, productivity metrics, and ROI for improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to translate strategy into execution.
- Additional languages beyond English.
