Senior Manager, Operational Risk Lead

Johnson & Johnson seeks a Senior Manager to lead operational risk and business continuity programs in Zuchwil, CH. This hybrid role requires extensive experience in supply chain resilience and cross-functional leadership.

This position acts as a central link between Enterprise Risk Management, Quality Management Systems, and daily operational functions. The incumbent will lead enterprise-level initiatives for business and supply continuity, serving as a trusted advisor during disruptions and maintaining high visibility with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage programs for business continuity, crisis response, and supply chain disruption handling.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and Procurement teams to spot vulnerabilities and apply mitigation strategies.
• Conduct enterprise risk assessments, scenario planning, stress testing, and contingency planning for operational issues.
• Define and track resilience metrics to monitor program effectiveness and support ongoing improvements.
• Align continuity and risk activities with regulatory, quality, audit, and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) standards.
• Coordinate cross-functional responses and executive communications during major operational disruptions.
• Cultivate a culture of proactive risk ownership and preparedness across the organization.
• Mentor and develop team members and matrixed resources to achieve continuity and resilience goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
• 8–10 years of progressive experience in business continuity, supply chain resilience, risk management, or operations leadership.
• Proven track record of leading enterprise or multi-site continuity programs within regulated industries.
• Deep understanding of global supply chains, supplier risks, and operational interdependencies.
• Demonstrated ability to drive risk mitigation initiatives.
• Strong skills in leading cross-functional teams and influencing without direct authority.
• Experience with incident response, crisis management, and executive-level reporting.
• Fluency in English.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) or advanced training in risk management or operations.
• Experience within medical device, pharmaceutical, or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with ISO 22301, business continuity standards, or enterprise risk frameworks.
• Experience supporting global operations and complex supplier networks.
• Demonstrated success driving continuous improvement and resilience maturity across organizations.
• Additional languages a plus.
