Driver/Data Collector in Winterthur, Switzerland

Tsmg seeks a Driver/Data Collector in Winterthur, Switzerland, for a mid-level, full-time contract role. The position involves driving vehicles equipped with 360° cameras and lidars to collect high-quality visual data for an online mapping platform, following pre-assigned routes across public areas and points of interest.

This project focuses on gathering high-quality visual data of streets, public spaces, and key points of interest across EU countries. Data is captured using vehicles fitted with 360° cameras and lidars, stored on onboard SSD drives, and later used to improve a leading online mapping platform. Data collectors follow assigned routes, with some areas requiring revisits during favorable weather to ensure optimal image quality. The project typically lasts 3 to 6 months per location.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles equipped with 360° cameras and lidars to capture visual data.
• Follow designated routes to collect data from public streets, commercial zones, and points of interest.
• Revisit specific areas during favorable weather conditions to maintain high image quality when necessary.

Requirements

• Hold a valid EU-issued driver’s license.
• Have a clean criminal and driving record.
• Possess at least 5 years of driving experience.
• Bring professional driving experience, such as in taxi, delivery, or logistics roles.
• Be proficient in English and the local language.
• Be tech-savvy and experienced with GSuite tools including Gmail, Google Spreadsheets, and Google Forms.
• Have basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics.
• Demonstrate responsibility, reliability, and professionalism in daily tasks.
