Engineering Manager 80 - 100% (f/m/d)

ABB Power Grids seeks an Engineering Manager to lead teams in developing dry-type transformers and reactors. This remote role in Ticino requires strong leadership and electrical engineering expertise.

The company is looking for a leader to guide engineering teams within the EUC HUB global organization. The position focuses on overseeing the development and delivery of innovative technical solutions for dry-type transformers and reactors, ensuring close cooperation with other teams across the network.

Responsibilities

• Guide, mentor, and manage a group of engineers.
• Create, apply, and refine engineering workflows and best practices.
• Work with product management and design teams to convert requirements into technical specifications.
• Supervise the complete software development lifecycle.
• Ensure technical architecture supports strategic goals and industry standards.
• Control project schedules, resources, and financial budgets.
• Detect and reduce technical risks and challenges.
• Participate in strategic planning and roadmap creation for engineering projects.
• Keep up with new technologies and industry trends.
• Perform performance evaluations and support career growth.
• Build strong collaboration with other teams and aid in standardization efforts.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in engineering.
• At least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
• Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex projects.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a data-driven approach.
• Experience in hiring, developing, and retaining high-per engineering talent.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
