Facilities Technician- French Speaking

PureGym AG seeks a French-speaking Facilities Technician based in Zürich to maintain club safety and operations across Switzerland, with a primary focus on the Romandie region.

The Facility Management team ensures that PureGym clubs remain safe, functional, and ready for members daily. This position provides hands-on technical support to locations, primarily in French-speaking Switzerland, while also covering sites in German-speaking regions. The role requires daily travel between clubs to address maintenance needs and support operational continuity.

Responsibilities

  • Perform minor repairs on fitness equipment, doors, sanitary fixtures, furniture, and general club areas.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance, troubleshoot technical issues, and carry out regular site inspections.
  • Manage and update work orders using the ServiceChannel digital ticketing system.
  • Identify defects and escalate recurring problems or safety-critical issues promptly.
  • Inspect and document portable electrical appliances after receiving necessary training and authorization.
  • Assist with checks related to water hygiene, emergency lighting, fire safety, escape routes, and general operational safety.
  • Coordinate visits from external suppliers and review the quality of completed work on-site.
  • Support new club openings, refurbishments, technical handovers, and smaller projects.
  • Transport tools, spare parts, and materials between different club locations.
  • Maintain the company vehicle, tools, testing devices, and stock responsibly.

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training in a technical or trade profession, such as caretaker, plumber, painter, mechanic, or equivalent.
  • Practical experience in repairs, maintenance, or building operations.
  • Strong hands-on skills and a basic understanding of building services and technical systems.
  • Confident use of smartphones, tablets, and digital ticketing systems.
  • Fluent French, both written and spoken, is mandatory.
  • Good working knowledge of either English or German is required.
  • A valid category B driving licence is mandatory.

  • Willingness to undertake training for portable electrical appliance inspections.
  • Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style.
  • Reliable, service-oriented, and accurate when documenting work.
  • Residence in the Romandie, canton of Bern, or Fribourg is an advantage.
