This onsite position in Sofia, Bulgaria, focuses on maintaining safe and respectful online environments for German-speaking audiences. The role involves enforcing community guidelines to ensure that major social media platforms remain compliant and free from harmful content.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and moderate user-generated posts on major social networks in German.
• Remove or flag material that breaches guidelines, such as hate speech, spam, misinformation, or graphic imagery.
• Refer complex or high-priority cases to senior trust and safety specialists.
• Process large volumes of content with high accuracy while meeting strict turnaround deadlines.
• Keep current with shifting social media trends, new online threats, and platform policy changes affecting the German digital space.
• Write detailed annotations and feedback on flagged items to aid quality assurance and training efforts.
• Work with policy, legal, and product teams to enhance moderation workflows and safety standards.
• Engage in team briefings, wellbeing check-ins, and professional development activities to support a positive work environment.

Requirements

• Native or fluent command of German, both written and spoken, is mandatory.
• Possession of a valid EU passport is required.
• Functional English skills for internal communication, training, and team collaboration.
