Mercier Consultancy Group seeks a German-speaking Trust and Safety Specialist for an onsite role in Athens, Greece, to moderate content and protect online community integrity.

Based onsite in Athens, this position focuses on protecting the safety and authenticity of German-speaking users on major social networks. The specialist ensures that community standards are upheld while mitigating risks associated with harmful or fraudulent activity.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and moderate user-generated posts in German to guarantee compliance with platform rules and community standards.
• Detect, investigate, and escalate abusive material, hate speech, misinformation, and fraud targeting German audiences.
• Identify patterns of coordinated inauthentic behavior and other threats to platform stability.
• Execute content removal and account suspensions based on established trust and safety protocols.
• Partner with policy, legal, and engineering teams to enhance moderation guidelines and safety measures.
• Track recurring risks and systemic issues to drive continuous operational improvements.
• Offer feedback on review processes to boost consistency and quality for German-language markets.
• Maintain professional judgment and emotional resilience while handling sensitive or distressing material.

Requirements

• Native or fluent proficiency in both spoken and written German.
• Possession of a valid European Union passport.
• Strong command of English for internal reporting and collaboration within an international team.
