Mercier Consultancy Group seeks a German-speaking Travel Advisor for a remote role based in Bulgaria. The position involves managing bookings and providing expert support to German-speaking clients via an online travel platform.

This position serves as a dedicated travel specialist for German-speaking clients, helping them plan, book, and manage their journeys through a major online travel agency. The advisor acts as a trusted point of contact, ensuring smooth interactions from initial inquiry through to post-travel support.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored travel advice and recommendations to German-speaking clients through phone, email, and live chat channels.
• Guide customers through the research, planning, and booking processes for flights, accommodations, holiday packages, car rentals, and additional services.
• Manage post-booking requests, including changes, cancellations, refund processing, and rebooking arrangements.
• Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell services to improve the customer experience and meet revenue goals.
• Keep current with industry trends, destination details, airline regulations, and lodging options.
• Coordinate with external suppliers, airlines, and hotel partners to address and resolve client issues.
• Record all customer interactions, booking specifics, and complaint outcomes accurately in the CRM system.
• Work closely with team members and supervisors to uphold high standards of service quality.

Requirements

• Native or fluent proficiency in German, both spoken and written, is required.
• Possession of a valid EU passport is mandatory.
• A strong passion for tourism and travel, backed by solid knowledge of destinations, products, and the online travel sector.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with an empathetic and solution-focused mindset.
• Competence in digital booking tools, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to handle multiple customer inquiries at once.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in customer service, travel consultancy, or the hospitality industry.
• Familiarity with GDS platforms like Amadeus or Sabre.
