German Speaking Travel Support Advisor - Work In Sofia, Bulgaria

Mercier Consultancy Group seeks a German-speaking Travel Support Advisor for its Sofia, Bulgaria office. The role involves assisting travelers with bookings, inquiries, and issue resolution via phone, email, and chat.

This position acts as the primary support channel for German-speaking clients, addressing their travel needs and concerns. Based in Sofia, the advisor ensures smooth navigation of bookings and resolves journey-related issues efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Deliver premium customer assistance to German-speaking clients through phone, email, and live chat channels.
• Manage booking changes, cancellations, and rebooking processes upon client request.
• Provide precise details regarding destinations, visa rules, baggage policies, and insurance products.
• Address and settle customer complaints and escalated travel issues.
• Execute refund procedures, handle compensation claims, and arrange special service needs.
• Coordinate with internal departments, travel partners, and external suppliers to resolve client matters.
• Document all customer interactions accurately within CRM and booking management platforms.

Requirements

• Native or fluent proficiency in German (C1 or C2 level).
• Solid working knowledge of English for internal team communication.
• Possession of a valid European Union passport.

Nice to have

• Prior background in customer service, travel support, or the hospitality and tourism sectors.
• Experience with travel booking platforms, GDS systems such as Amadeus or Sabre, or CRM software.
