Roche seeks a Global Ops Strategy Lead in Rotkreuz to direct long-term capacity planning, CAPEX roadmaps, and governance frameworks for its global diagnostic operations network.
This position acts as the strategic architect for Roche’s Global Operations department, which coordinates a workforce of over 9,000 employees to provide essential diagnostic solutions. The role is responsible for defining the holistic strategy, ensuring analytical rigor, and serving as a thought leader that bridges high-level commercial goals with practical execution capabilities across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Design and uphold governance frameworks to guide decisions regarding operational footprint.
- Formulate resilient global strategies by conducting thorough internal and external analyses.
- Manage the end-to-end global Long-Term Capacity Planning (LTCP) process.
- Develop a comprehensive 10-year capital expenditure (CAPEX) investment roadmap.
- Conduct strategic intelligence gathering and benchmarking using industry data.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration among Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and R&D teams.
- Define governing principles for global investment and footprint management.
- Influence senior leadership (GOLT and GOLT-1) to achieve consensus on strategic directions.
- Align commercial strategy with operational execution capabilities.
- Manage high-stakes conflicts, particularly when prioritizing competing CAPEX requests.
- Present strategic insights and updates to senior executive forums.
- Coach and develop team capabilities to foster growth and expertise.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering.
- Over 10 years of progressive leadership experience with deep operational mastery in Procurement, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain.
- Demonstrated expertise in Enterprise Architecture.
- Strong analytical skills to synthesize large datasets into clear, actionable executive messages.
- Business fluency in English.
