Head Climate Certificates & Dry Bulk Trading (f/m/d)

Axpo Group seeks a Manager to lead climate certificates and dry bulk trading in Baden, CH. The role involves managing a team, taking proprietary positions, and expanding regional trading activities.

The company is looking for a Manager to head its climate certificates and dry bulk trading operations. This position requires leading a high-performing team within the carbon and fuels market, taking financial proprietary positions, and contributing to the division's strategic direction as an active member of the Management Team.

Responsibilities

• Manage proprietary trading activities involving emissions allowances, climate certificates, and related fuels like coal.
• Lead and integrate a team of traders and analysts, ensuring effective knowledge transfer.
• Expand trading operations into new regions such as Asia and the US, and into related products like freight.
• Provide market access to other desks to support hedging needs.
• Develop in-house models and improve fundamental market forecasting, collaborating with other trading and analytics teams.

Requirements

• Several years of experience in a commodity trading house.
• Master’s or PhD in business or natural sciences.
• Proven track record of strong PnL performance.
• Expertise in European emissions markets (compliance & voluntary) and other energy markets.
• Experience managing traders or analysts.
• Excellent communication skills and a fundamental trading approach.
