Head of Cyber Security Engineering

The company is seeking a Head of Cyber Security Engineering in Geneva to lead its cyber engineering function, design secure platforms, and manage the end-to-end roadmap for cyber capabilities across hybrid environments.

In this role, the successful candidate will direct the bank's cyber engineering efforts, focusing on creating secure-by-design platforms and controls. The position is responsible for the complete engineering roadmap to ensure resilience, reliability, and compliance within both on-premise and cloud settings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a cyber engineering strategy that supports the bank's risk tolerance and business objectives.
• Recruit, guide, and manage a skilled team covering security engineering, DevSecOps, and platform operations.
• Manage financial planning, vendor relationships, and resource allocation for security tools.
• Implement security-by-design and security-by-default principles throughout infrastructure, applications, and data handling.
• Automate security controls using infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines to integrate security early in the development process.
• Manage the lifecycle of enterprise security platforms, including EDR/XDR, PAM, CSPM, DLP, and HSM.
• Guarantee the performance, scalability, and availability of cyber platforms through defined SLAs and KPIs.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to lead cyber engineering initiatives with a strong technical background, capable of converting complex security needs into scalable solutions.
• Experience in establishing and operating security platforms within regulated financial sectors.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 7-10 years of professional experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in information security, specifically in security architecture, engineering and integration, or secure application development.
• Must hold Swiss residence status.
