IT Security Engineer (80-100%)

The company seeks a mid-level IT Security Engineer in Geneva to design and manage security solutions, educate staff, and automate security workflows. The role requires strong Azure and DLP expertise, plus fluency in English and French.

This position focuses on building and maintaining robust security defenses against cyber threats and data theft. The engineer will also play a key role in training employees on security best practices and driving continuous improvement across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Create and sustain security frameworks to protect the enterprise.
  • Lead or support various security-related initiatives.
  • Evaluate and strengthen the security posture of existing systems.
  • Review security alerts and incidents, suggesting actionable improvements.
  • Introduce innovative security tools and participate in ongoing enhancement efforts.
  • Streamline repetitive processes through automation and workflow development.
  • Keep detailed records of system setups, protocols, and incident logs.
  • Support the adoption of secure coding standards and security tools within development teams.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in computer engineering, security engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools and methodologies.
  • Deep understanding of Azure cloud environments, Microsoft 365, and hybrid cloud setups.
  • Proficiency in scripting, automation, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), software architecture, and networking protocols.
  • Fluency in both English and French.
  • Current residence in Switzerland or a clear plan to relocate there.

Nice to have

  • A master's degree from an engineering school is considered an advantage.
