Lombard Odier IM seeks a Junior IT Production Engineer in Geneva to manage scheduling, file transfer, and monitoring systems within a hybrid cloud environment.
This position supports the modernization of the IT platform by integrating new technologies such as cloud infrastructure, DevOps methodologies, and AI-driven automation. The engineer joins a dynamic team of seven within the IT Operations department, focusing on ensuring the reliability of scheduling, file transfer, and monitoring services.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and oversee production systems operating in both on-premise and cloud environments.
- Automate operational workflows through DevOps practices, including the creation of CI/CD pipelines and scripting.
- Assist in cloud migration efforts and help establish industry best practices.
- Support AI-led projects aimed at predictive monitoring and optimizing business processes.
- Deliver Level 2 and Level 3 support for production incidents while collaborating with technical stakeholders.
- Document operational procedures and suggest enhancements to improve system reliability and efficiency.
Requirements
- A degree in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification.
- Between zero and three to four years of relevant professional experience.
- Familiarity with major cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Hands-on knowledge of DevOps tools including Git, Jenkins or GitLab CI, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python and Bash, with a strong interest in automation.
- Fluent command of both French and English in written and spoken communication.
- Current residence in Switzerland or a clear willingness to relocate.
