Senior IT Production Engineer – Scheduling / File Transfer / Monitoring (80-100%)

The company seeks a Senior IT Production Engineer in Geneva to manage scheduling, file transfer, and monitoring platforms. The role supports IT modernization while maintaining current systems, requiring strong technical expertise and bilingual skills.

This position sits within the Technologies and Operations unit of the IT Operations department, where a seven-person team in Geneva drives platform modernization. The engineer will help transform the IT landscape while ensuring the stability of the existing installed base.

Responsibilities

• Translate business needs into technical implementations for alerting, scheduling, and file transfer systems.
• Evaluate incoming requests and produce thorough specification documentation.
• Suggest and contribute to platform enhancements and upgrades.
• Identify opportunities to automate and refine current operational processes.
• Deliver Level 2 and Level 3 support for established workflows.

Requirements

• A Master's degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification.
• Between two and ten years of relevant professional experience.
• Deep familiarity with file transfer mechanisms, including industrial protocols and certificate handling.
• Full professional proficiency in both French and English.
• Current residence in Switzerland or a clear intention to relocate there.

Nice to have

• Hands-on background with GoAnywhere.
• Familiarity with scheduling solutions like OpCon or Control-M.
• Experience using monitoring or alerting platforms such as Service Now Event Management, Nagios, SCOM, or scripting languages like Powershell and shell.
