IT Production Engineer – Scheduling / File Transfer / Monitoring (80-100%)

The company seeks a Junior IT Production Engineer in Geneva to manage scheduling, file transfer, and monitoring within a hybrid IT environment, supporting platform modernization and cloud migration.

This position sits within the IT Operations department and plays a key part in modernizing the IT platform and integrating new technologies. The team focuses on scheduling, file transfer, and monitoring, supporting the IT Delivery Team with automation and cloud initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee production systems across hybrid setups, including on-premise and cloud infrastructure.
• Develop and automate workflows by applying DevOps methodologies, such as CI/CD pipelines and scripting.
• Support cloud migration efforts and assist in establishing best practices.
• Engage in AI-driven projects aimed at predictive monitoring and process optimization.
• Deliver Level 2/3 support for production incidents and coordinate with technical teams.
• Maintain documentation and suggest enhancements to improve system reliability and efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification.
• Up to 3-4 years of relevant professional experience.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Understanding of DevOps tools including Git, Jenkins/GitLab CI, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash, with a strong interest in automation.
• Fluency in both French and English, written and spoken.
• Current residence in Switzerland or readiness to relocate.
