Cloud Platform Engineer (Kubernetes / Azure / DevOps) - ONSITE Laussane

Gramian Consultancy is seeking a Mid-level Cloud Platform Engineer for an onsite role in Lausanne, CH. The position involves managing Kubernetes clusters, Azure infrastructure, and DevOps pipelines for a Swiss-based DXP software vendor.

The role is for a Cloud Platform Engineer supporting a well-established international software vendor in the Digital Experience Platform space. The engineer will be responsible for designing, operating, and evolving a robust cloud and on-premises platform, ensuring reliability and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters, both on-premise and in Azure AKS using RKE2 and AKS.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI and implement GitOps workflows via Argo CD.
• Operate centralized logging systems using the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash/Filebeat, Kibana).
• Administer Azure cloud infrastructure including AKS, Entra ID, NSG, Key Vault, and Azure Monitor with strong security practices.
• Deploy and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools such as OpenTofu and Ansible.
• Set up monitoring and alerting systems using Prometheus and Grafana.
• Ensure the deployment, availability, and performance of middleware and data components like RabbitMQ, Redis, and PostgreSQL.
• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Keep technical documentation current, including runbooks, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.

Requirements

• 3 to 5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including deployments, services, Helm, and troubleshooting.
• Practical experience with Argo CD and GitOps deployment strategies.
• Solid experience with GitLab, including CI/CD pipelines, runners, and container registries.
• Proven experience managing ELK stack environments.
• Good knowledge of the Azure ecosystem, including AKS, Entra ID, NSG, Key Vault, and Azure Monitor.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code using OpenTofu and Ansible.
• Scripting skills in Bash and/or Python for automation tasks.
• Understanding of security best practices in cloud and containerized environments.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Fluent French (spoken and written) and professional-level English.
