DevOps Engineer / Cloud Platform Engineer (a)

Adnovum Group AG seeks a Mid-level DevOps/Cloud Platform Engineer in Bern to design resilient cloud infrastructures and support seamless development-to-operations transitions.

This position involves working within an interdisciplinary team in Bern to build and maintain complex mobile, web, and security solutions. The role focuses on bridging the gap between software development and high-availability operations, ensuring systems remain resilient and scalable.

Responsibilities

• Architecting high-availability and scalability frameworks for cloud-native and hybrid environments.
• Developing and integrating custom applications within containerized ecosystems such as Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenShift.
• Deploying security measures, including secrets management via HashiCorp Vault or Azure Key Vault, TLS certificate handling, and DoS protection.
• Building CI/CD pipelines and automating deployments using Helm, GitOps, Ansible, and Argo CD while assisting development teams with automation tasks.
• Establishing monitoring and alerting systems and optimizing the performance of platform components.

Requirements

• A university degree in computer science or a related discipline.
• Practical experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• Familiarity with secrets management and certificate solutions, such as cert-manager or ACME.
• Experience using monitoring and logging tools including Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, ELK stack, or Splunk.
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or OpenTofu.
• Strong communication abilities, a customer-oriented mindset, and a sense of responsibility.
• Excellent command of both German and English.
• Willingness to undergo Personal Security Screening (PSS) by Swiss Federal or Cantonal Authorities.
