Swisscom seeks a Mid-level DevOps Engineer for AppCloud Services in Bern, CH. The role focuses on cloud-native platforms, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation within a hybrid work model.
This position is responsible for building and maintaining cloud-native platforms and Kubernetes environments. The role combines technical innovation with direct ownership, allowing the engineer to ensure service reliability while contributing to meaningful projects.
Responsibilities
- Build, operate, and enhance cloud-native platforms within an agile DevOps framework.
- Create and sustain automated CI/CD pipelines alongside cloud-native tooling.
- Develop and manage cloud-native services, integrations, and supporting tools using contemporary technologies.
- Conduct root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and debugging for Kubernetes, containers, networking, and Linux systems.
- Participate in incident management, on-call rotations, and change handling processes.
Requirements
- Proven expertise in Linux, cloud-native architectures, container-based systems, and automation.
- Experience in operating and developing cloud platforms at scale.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
- Ability to debug complex systems across various layers of networking and infrastructure.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English.
Nice to have
- CKA certification.
- Experience with Cloud Foundry, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, RabbitMQ.
- Programming or scripting experience; Golang or Ruby.
- German language skills.
