DevOps Engineer Cloud Solutions

Swisscom seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer for Cloud Solutions in Zürich, working part-time in a hybrid model. You’ll develop and operate identity and access management applications for B2B customers, using modern cloud technologies and DevOps practices.

As part of an agile DevOps team, you will design and develop software for Swisscom’s B2B customers, focusing on identity and access management. Your work will support digital transformation by ensuring systems are up to date, secure, and scalable, using innovative cloud technologies and contributing to the full software lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high service quality through modern software architectures and cloud technologies
• Manage and maintain data center infrastructure for managed UC solutions across public, private, and hybrid cloud environments
• Participate in change, problem, and incident management, and assist customers during cloud migration
• Monitor and maintain applications in Linux and Windows environments, and build CI/CD pipelines
• Develop and operate applications within a multicultural, self-organizing team
• Own the full software lifecycle — from analysis and design to implementation, testing, and operation
• Lead projects from development to operations, following the 'you build it, you run it' principle
• Collaborate in an international, distributed team to create scalable cloud-based solutions
• Support team members’ growth in an agile, self-organized environment
• Engage in diverse tasks involving current network technologies and personal development in a hybrid work setting

Requirements

• Degree in computer science or a related field from ETH, university, or university of applied sciences
• Strong expertise in Cisco UCS, VMWare, Dell/EMC storage, and Microsoft server technologies
• Experience with DevOps automation tools including Jenkins, Karate, Gatling, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, PowerShell, Python, and Ansible
• Knowledge of identity and access management and software development using Java and JavaScript
• Proven ability to set up and manage CI/CD pipelines and monitoring systems
• Proficiency with AWS services and infrastructure as code using Terraform and CloudFormation
• Deep understanding of DevOps practices and tools
• Hands-on experience in project management
• Strong focus on customer and service needs
• Structured, goal-driven, independent, and precise working style
• Very good command of German and English
