Platform Engineer

SonicWALL AG seeks a Mid-level Platform Engineer in Switzerland to design and maintain scalable, secure cloud infrastructure on GCP, focusing on Kubernetes and automation.

This position focuses on advancing cloud infrastructure capabilities while ensuring platforms remain robust, secure, and capable of handling growth. The engineer will construct and sustain the core architecture supporting cloud-native services.

Responsibilities

• Architect and sustain scalable cloud environments utilizing Google Cloud Platform.
• Deploy and oversee Kubernetes clusters to support containerized applications.
• Streamline infrastructure setup and control through Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
• Partner with development and security groups to uphold platform stability and regulatory adherence.
• Track system metrics and resolve technical challenges to guarantee continuous operation.

Requirements

• Proven expertise with Google Cloud Platform services.
• Practical background operating Kubernetes within live production settings.
• Competence in Infrastructure as Code solutions such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Solid programming abilities using Python or Bash.
• Knowledge of networking principles, security protocols, and CI/CD workflows.
