System Engineer - Messaging

Union Bancaire Privée seeks a Senior System Engineer for its Geneva office to manage and enhance Microsoft and Citrix infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance within a regulated banking environment.

This role focuses on the design, implementation, and ongoing management of critical Microsoft and Citrix technologies. The engineer will ensure the high availability, performance, and security of IT services while operating within a challenging, regulated environment for a fast-growing private bank.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Exchange, Microsoft PKI, DFS, and MS Teams.
• Troubleshoot and optimize Active Directory replication, DNS, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
• Implement and enforce security policies, including password policies, account lockout policies, and auditing.
• Integrate Active Directory with other systems, such as Office 365, Azure AD, and third-party applications.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation of routine tasks and reporting.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for Active Directory.
• Setting up and maintaining Root and Intermediate Certificate Authorities.
• Design, implementation, and management of Citrix-related technologies.
• Provide production support for Microsoft environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Manage and resolve complex incidents and problems, minimizing downtime and mitigating impacts on business operations.
• Implement and maintain system monitoring solutions to pre-emptively identify potential issues (SCOM / NIMSOFT).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system enhancements and integration of new technologies.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and procedures, including regular system audits and updates.
• Conduct root cause analysis for major incidents and lead problem management processes.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures, and service records.
• Be part of an on-call service rotation one week per month (24/24-7j/7).
