Senior System Engineer (80 - 100%)

SIX Financial Information seeks a Senior System Engineer to lead the operation and engineering of virtual privileged access workspaces in Zürich, working within a hybrid model.

This position belongs to the Digital Workspace Virtualisation team, an international group of specialists tasked with managing, improving, and advancing solutions for internal staff, partners, and external clients. The engineer will guide the team through practical technical work and cross-functional cooperation, embodying the organization's core principles of customer focus, collaboration, ownership, and trust.

Responsibilities

• Take full technical responsibility for maintaining and building virtual privileged access workspaces.
• Ensure that identity management, authentication protocols, and security standards are properly integrated.
• Lead the transition from client-based setups to a scalable, centralized architecture hosted on server hypervisors.
• Contribute to wider projects focused on virtual workspaces and remote access capabilities.
• Assist with scheduled after-hours tasks and join on-call schedules to handle significant incidents.

Requirements

• Demonstrate expert-level proficiency with Citrix CVAD and NetScaler within large-scale enterprise settings.
• Possess strong background in creating hardened Windows 11 golden images and managing identity/authentication systems such as IdPs, PKI, FAS, and FIDO2.
• Communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.

Nice to have

• Previous experience with PAW/PAM solutions or Azure Virtual Desktop is advantageous.
• Knowledge of German and/or Spanish languages is considered a bonus.
