Senior System Engineer

SIX Financial Information seeks a Senior System Engineer to lead key management governance and secure cryptographic controls across its financial enterprise in Zürich.

As the Key Management Security Officer, this position is responsible for establishing and overseeing the governance of cryptographic keys, ensuring they are protected according to strict security standards throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

• Establish and enforce policies, standards, and controls for key management.
• Manage the entire lifecycle of cryptographic keys, from creation to secure destruction.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks such as PCI DSS, FINMA, and DORA.
• Provide support during audits and maintain documentation to demonstrate control traceability.
• Evaluate risks within key management environments and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.

Requirements

• Demonstrated expertise in cryptography and the management of cryptographic key lifecycles.
• Hands-on experience with Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) and key management platforms like Keyfactor, cloud KMS, Securesys, Thales, or Entrust.
• A solid background in audit, compliance, or working within regulated sectors.
• Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
• A degree in information security or a closely related discipline.

Nice to have

• Professional certifications such as CISSP or CISM.
