System Engineer

SIX Group seeks a System Engineer for its Cryptographic Services team in Zürich. The role focuses on designing and operating mission-critical cryptographic services within a regulated financial environment.

This position supports the Cryptographic Services team at SIX Group, operating within a highly regulated financial setting. The primary purpose is to design and maintain mission-critical cryptographic services that ensure secure operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and manage enterprise-level cryptographic solutions, including PKI, HSM, and certificate management.
• Streamline certificate lifecycle processes through automation and embed cryptographic functions into applications and CI/CD workflows.
• Maintain and enhance visibility of the enterprise cryptographic inventory across all assets.
• Address vulnerabilities and resolve incidents related to cryptographic components.
• Guarantee adherence to security standards and regulatory mandates such as PCI DSS, FINMA, and DORA.

Requirements

• Proven expertise in PKI, TLS, HSM, or key management technologies.
• Hands-on experience with automation, APIs, or infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and modern application environments, including Azure and containers.
• Capability to convert security requirements into actionable engineering solutions.
• Fluent proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
