Senior Engineer Cyber Security

Elca Informatik AG seeks a Senior Cyber Security Engineer in Pully, CH, to deliver security solutions, improve internal platforms, and support customer projects with a focus on automation and operational excellence.

This position sits within the ELCA Cloud Services team under the Platform department's Security Team Manager. The role focuses on providing security solutions for client projects while enhancing internal security platforms and operations. It blends customer-facing delivery, security operations, and platform engineering, emphasizing automation, teamwork, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, manage, and enhance cybersecurity platforms and products for both internal needs and client environments.
• Support client security initiatives by applying security controls and suggesting ongoing improvements.
• Enhance SIEM detection and response capabilities by documenting use cases, configuring alerts, and establishing operational procedures.
• Assist in security incident response by conducting analysis and aiding in remediation efforts.
• Guide internal teams in embedding security controls into their solutions according to best practices.
• Help shape the security platform technology roadmap through tool assessment, integration, and documentation.
• Leverage automation tools like Puppet and Terraform to optimize security operations.
• Create documentation and share knowledge to boost team efficiency and consistency.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of practical experience with security technologies and platforms.
• Proven background in security operations, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools such as Puppet, Terraform, or Ansible.
• Strong grasp of network security principles including firewalls, proxies, load balancers, DNS/DHCP, and VPN.
• Solid understanding of infrastructure components like Windows, Linux, and container platforms such as OpenShift.
• Good knowledge of security standards and frameworks including ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS Benchmarks.
• Experience with public cloud infrastructures like AWS and/or Azure.
• Excellent written and spoken French and English are required.
• Only candidacies from Swiss residents or willing to relocate will be considered.

• Proficiency in German is an asset.
