Head of Department Embankments and Geotechnics

Günter AG seeks a Director to lead its Embankments and Geotechnics department in Renens, overseeing underground works, project finance, and team development.

This leadership position is responsible for steering the department’s strategic direction, with a specific emphasis on underground construction and geotechnical engineering. The incumbent will guide planning efforts, manage financial oversight for projects, and drive innovation within the team.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily operations and monitor the financial performance of assigned projects.
• Maintain high standards for quality and consistency in all departmental proposals and offers.
• Identify and implement strategies for innovation, development, and process improvement within the department.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering.
• At least 15 years of professional experience in geotechnics, rock mechanics, or embankment design and construction.
• Demonstrated background in design coordination and project management.
• Professional fluency in both English and French.

Nice to have

• PhD degree.
• Fluency in Italian and/or German.
