Head of Securities - Private Banking

Michael Page seeks a Head of Securities for Private Banking in Geneva. This on-site leadership role manages securities operations, team development, and risk controls for traditional and alternative assets.

The company is looking for an experienced leader to direct daily securities transfer activities and asset servicing within its Private Banking division. This position focuses on overseeing operational workflows, ensuring regulatory compliance, and guiding a team through complex transactions involving both traditional and alternative investment classes.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a team handling securities transfers for various asset types.
• Supervise daily tasks including fund registrations, settlements, reconciliations, and asset servicing.
• Guarantee precise and prompt transaction processing while upholding strict risk and control standards.
• Enhance operational efficiency by introducing process improvements and monitoring performance metrics.
• Track KPIs and KRIs to maintain service quality and mitigate risks.
• Serve as the primary liaison for internal departments, custodians, transfer agents, and external partners.
• Contribute to strategic projects, regulatory updates, and operational initiatives affecting the department.
• Cultivate a cooperative and high-performing team environment through mentorship and staff development.

Requirements

• Significant background in securities operations, custody, asset servicing, transfer agency, or funds operations within banking.
• Proven track record of managing operational teams in a financial services setting.
• Deep understanding of securities transfers, custody services, mutual funds, and alternative investments.
• Comprehensive knowledge of operational risk, internal controls, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Experience in driving process improvements and managing operational changes.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify problems and implement effective solutions.
• Fluency in both French and English.
• Must hold Swiss residency.
