Business Risk Manager FR / ENG 100% (m / f)

Michael Page seeks a Business Risk Manager (FR/ENG) for a 100% interim role in Geneva, CH. The position involves transactional monitoring, risk controls, and supporting front office operations within a structured compliance framework.

The role is part of the Business Risk Management - Transaction Monitoring Team, focused on executing the 1.5 line of control within a structured control framework to ensure compliance and operational integrity.

Responsibilities

• Review and validate incoming and outgoing transaction flows, including cash and securities movements.
• Respond to inquiries from front office staff regarding doubts, suspicions, or advisory needs.
• Serve as backup for market heads to verify client instructions.
• Assess, document, and resolve alerts generated by the transaction monitoring system.
• Handle and record client account blocks and unblocks.
• Contribute to the development of KPIs and reporting for the bank.
• Carry out quality assurance checks.
• Provide ad-hoc reports to front office and management teams.
• Engage in daily office operations and team activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, banking, economics, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in operational transactional monitoring and controls within a Swiss wealth management institution.
• Solid understanding of Swiss regulatory compliance, particularly in anti-money laundering (AML).
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office and primary financial software tools.
• Fluency in both English and French.
• Solution-focused, proactive attitude with strict adherence to confidentiality.
• Analytical thinking, meticulous attention to detail, and strong risk awareness.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work across functions in a multicultural setting.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team approach.
• Resilient under pressure, with a reactive and proactive work style.
• Commitment to discretion and confidentiality, aligned with the bank’s core values.
