Business Risk Manager / 18-month fixed-term contract

Lexton Stanley seeks a Business Risk Manager for an 18-month fixed-term role in Geneva. The position focuses on AML, KYC, and risk management within a private banking environment.

The company is looking for a professional to join its private banking operations as part of the first line of defence. This role involves collaborating closely with Front Office teams to maintain high standards in client due diligence, AML controls, and overall risk management while ensuring compliance with Swiss regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular and event-triggered assessments of client accounts, with a focus on complex or higher-risk structures.
• Verify that client profiles, supporting documents, and transaction patterns align consistently.
• Examine and validate KYC files, stepping in to help with remediation efforts when necessary.
• Evaluate transaction data to identify and investigate unusual activity or system-generated alerts.
• Serve as a reliable resource for Front Office colleagues, offering daily advice on AML, KYC, and client risk issues.
• Help enforce account restrictions and other risk mitigation strategies as needed.
• Assist with reporting tasks, track KPIs, and help improve first-line control procedures over time.
• Take part in internal projects, audits, and initiatives aimed at continuous process improvement.

Requirements

• Three to five years of experience in business risk, AML, KYC reviews, or transaction monitoring, preferably within a Swiss private bank.
• Strong understanding of the Swiss regulatory landscape, especially regarding AML and client due diligence rules.
• Proven ability to assess complex client structures and perform risk-based evaluations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, paired with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work effectively alongside Front Office teams in a fast-paced setting.
• A proactive, organized, and solution-focused approach, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Fluency in both French and English.
