Lexton Stanley seeks a Credit Officer for a 6-month fixed-term role in Geneva. The position focuses on end-to-end credit underwriting, Lombard lending, and collaboration with Front Office teams.
This position is responsible for overseeing the complete credit underwriting lifecycle. The incumbent works closely with Front Office teams to structure, validate, and monitor credit facilities, ensuring that all transactions align with internal risk policies and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and structure intricate credit applications for submission to decision-making bodies.
- Track Lombard facilities, Loan-to-Value ratios, and margin requirements, with a specific focus on derivative transactions.
- Evaluate the quality of collateral, manage high-risk exposures, and enforce adherence to internal credit guidelines.
- Verify the execution of loan drawdowns, cash and securities transfers, bank guarantees, and other credit operations.
- Serve as a technical resource for Relationship Managers, offering guidance on credit structuring, exceptions, and margin issues.
- Partner with the Credit Committee, Trading, and Asset Management divisions to maintain robust credit risk oversight.
- Keep precise records and help enhance internal processes and operational efficiency.
- Assist management reporting by generating KPIs, statistics, and credit dashboards.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience in a credit role within a Swiss private bank, including substantial exposure to Lombard lending.
- Demonstrated track record in handling complex credit transactions and collateralized financing structures.
- Deep understanding of derivatives, OTC products, financial markets, and private banking services.
- Strong grasp of credit risk management principles and general banking operations.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Fluency in both French and English.
