Business Risk Manager - PB COO - BRM (TEMP)

EFG International seeks a Business Risk Manager in Zürich to oversee risk controls for the Investment Solutions area, requiring multilingual skills and strong analytical capabilities.

The company is looking for a professional who can deliver significant value and drive improvements immediately upon joining the team.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly and quarterly risk control checks for the Investment Solutions segment and maintain accurate records of findings.
• Draft the Investment Solutions Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RSC) and the associated Business Risk Management (BRM) control reports.
• Monitor and ensure that identified control failures and necessary risk mitigation steps are addressed promptly.
• Support the creation of the annual Investment Solutions risk and control self-assessment, along with other ad hoc reviews.
• Partner with Regional and Global Private Banking BRM teams to strengthen the first line of defense.
• Communicate the status of the internal control framework and highlight emerging risks or operational issues.
• Coordinate with local Compliance, Operational Risk, and audit teams for special reviews.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the Investment Solutions area regarding IT systems, tools, and training matters.

Requirements

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Economics or possess equivalent professional experience.
• Demonstrate prior work experience within the financial, audit, risk control, compliance, or risk management sectors.
• Possess strong data analysis capabilities and proficiency in Python, SQL, R, and the Bloomberg Terminal.
• Fluency in English, German, French, and Italian is mandatory.
• Exhibit proactive communication, clear organizational abilities, and attention to detail.
• Maintain precision and effectiveness while working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
• Show a resourceful attitude and a willingness to exceed standard expectations.
