EFG International seeks a Pension Fund Manager in Zürich to oversee the administration, financial stability, and regulatory compliance of the company pension fund.

The company is looking for a professional to take full responsibility for the administrative, technical, and financial operations of its pension foundation. This role ensures that the fund remains compliant with legal standards while safeguarding the economic interests of employees against risks related to retirement, disability, or death.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the complete administrative, technical, and accounting functions of the pension foundation.
  • Establish and maintain the financial and actuarial parameters necessary to ensure the long-term solvency of the plan.
  • Handle daily operational tasks, including member enrollment, contribution processing, and benefit distribution.
  • Prepare and review annual reports, actuarial statements for the board, and IAS 19 financial disclosures for EFG SA.
  • Liaise with external partners such as auditors, actuarial consultants, custodian banks, and regulatory authorities.
  • Monitor investment activities to ensure alignment with established risk criteria and investment guidelines.
  • Review annual accounts and financial documentation to satisfy supervisory body requirements.
  • Advise the Board of Foundation on strategic direction and financial stability measures.
  • Communicate with members regarding benefit details and updates to pension regulations.
  • Track changes in pension laws and adjust internal procedures accordingly.
  • Maintain and supervise the internal control framework.
  • Collaborate closely with the Human Resources department to align procedures and address shared topics.
  • Organize and document meetings for the foundation board and investment committee.
  • Provide direct pension advice to active staff and retirees.

Requirements

  • University degree in Economics, Finance, Actuarial Science, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated track record in managing pension funds, provident schemes, or similar entities.
  • Deep understanding of pension legislation, such as the Swiss Occupational Benefits Act (LOB) or equivalent local laws.
  • Strong expertise in financial management and overseeing investment portfolios.
  • Advanced proficiency with IT systems used for pension administration and reporting.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal capabilities.
  • Proven managerial experience.
  • Fluency in Italian and English.

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in German and French.
