Business Risk Manager - Technology & Operations (80-100%)

Lombard Odier IM seeks a Senior Business Risk Manager for its Technology & Operations team in Geneva. The role focuses on identifying operational and technology risks, managing incidents, and ensuring robust control frameworks.

This position sits within the Technology & Operations Business Risk Management team. The primary purpose is to partner with internal stakeholders to pinpoint potential risks, coordinate necessary remediation efforts, and reinforce first-line ownership of controls. The role also ensures transparent and timely reporting of operational, technology, and information risks to senior management.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and report on various operational risks, including processing errors, trade execution, technology, cybersecurity, and information security issues across the T&O division.
• Support the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process by ensuring assessments are up-to-date, well-documented, and backed by evidence.
• Oversee the incident management lifecycle, ensuring all events are recorded, analyzed, escalated appropriately, and followed through to resolution.
• Contribute to the Risk Assurance Plan by conducting thematic reviews, testing the design and operating effectiveness of controls, and tracking the closure of identified gaps.
• Maintain the ISAE control framework by collecting, verifying, and organizing required evidence to ensure audit readiness.
• Drive and coordinate risk remediation activities, ensuring that corrective actions are clearly defined, assigned to owners, and completed on schedule.
• Monitor the status of identified issues, ensuring consistent closure, proper documentation, and continuous improvement of controls.
• Foster a strong risk culture by promoting awareness, facilitating training, and encouraging constructive challenge across teams.
• Prepare structured and insightful risk reports for the T&O Risk Committee and senior leadership.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in risk management, internal control, audit, or consulting, with a focus on operational or technology-related risks.
• A solid understanding of operations, IT, cybersecurity, and information risk, preferably within the financial services sector.
• A strong analytical mindset with a structured and detail-oriented approach.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and French.
• Current residence in Switzerland or willingness to relocate.
