Vetropack seeks an IT Application Consultant to act as a strategic IT Business Partner for Finance & Controlling, bridging digital transformation with financial operations in Bülach.
This position functions as the primary IT liaison for the Finance organization within the Digital Enterprise team. The consultant serves as a strategic advisor, operating at the intersection of finance, information technology, and digital transformation to drive business value and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with Finance leadership and key stakeholders.
- Critically review and refine business requirements to ensure clarity and feasibility.
- Identify digital opportunities that support strategic decision-making processes.
- Oversee the complete lifecycle of business demands, including intake, prioritization, and governance.
- Assess initiatives based on their business value, cost implications, and strategic alignment.
- Assist in developing business cases and supporting investment decisions.
- Structure and coordinate cross-functional initiatives to ensure cohesive execution.
- Define project scope, milestones, and deliverables clearly.
- Monitor progress, risks, and dependencies throughout project lifecycles.
- Ensure alignment between business objectives, IT capabilities, and delivery teams.
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of experience in Finance, Controlling, or finance-related IT roles.
- Demonstrated success in project coordination or consulting positions.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly SAP FI/CO, and other financial tools.
- Solid understanding of core financial processes such as Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, and Plan-to-Close.
- Ability to translate complex business needs into structured, actionable initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to bridge business and IT perspectives.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple demands effectively.
- Fluent proficiency in English.
