IT Network Administrator (f/m/d)

Central-Apotheke Aarau AG seeks a Senior IT Network Administrator to manage global network infrastructure, ensuring security and performance across international sites.

This position is responsible for the design, maintenance, and optimization of the organization's global network infrastructure. The role ensures high availability and security for critical business systems while taking ownership of core networking services. Based in Bern, the professional will collaborate with teams in Denmark, Germany, and Switzerland.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot network components such as switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless systems.
  • Lead network upgrades, manage equipment lifecycles, and execute infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers as needed.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and operational procedures.
  • Support IT governance, compliance audits, and regulatory activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement in network architecture and operational workflows.

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience managing network infrastructure in complex IT settings.
  • A technically minded professional who demonstrates strong ownership of tasks.
  • A structured, detail-oriented approach with a focus on quality.
  • Strong analytical abilities and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proven experience in incident management and escalation protocols.
  • Familiarity with ITSM processes and structured IT environments.
  • Excellent documentation habits and operational discipline.

  • Prior experience working within GxP-regulated environments.
