IT Project Manager DBA Oracle

Coni & Partner AG seeks a Senior IT Project Manager specializing in Oracle DBA for an international bank in Zurich. The role combines technical database management with project leadership in a hybrid setup.

This position places an Oracle specialist within the IT division of a major international bank based in Zurich. The professional will oversee critical database operations while leading automation initiatives and infrastructure improvements.

Responsibilities

• Tracking system resources, storage structures, and database queries to ensure optimal performance.
• Handling support duties such as troubleshooting issues and managing incidents.
• Improving resource usage by analyzing and applying enhancements across the full lifecycle of hosted applications.
• Executing formal change proposals, system modifications, and updates within the corporate IT landscape.
• Driving the adoption of automated solutions by creating necessary tools.
• Enhancing current IT infrastructure and validating disaster recovery protocols.
• Administering user permissions, roles, and conducting system audits to maintain data protection compliance.
• Assisting with database upgrades and migrations, including transitions to cloud environments.
• Delivering second-level support and participating in emergency response services.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Proven professional background working within banking or consultancy sectors.
• Strong understanding of database operations and development practices.
• Proficiency with Oracle databases, Postgres, and SQL standards.
• Hands-on experience with automation and migration projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Fluency in both English and German.
