Senior IT Project Manager OMS

Coni & Partner AG seeks a Senior IT Project Manager for an Order Management System at an international bank in Zurich, combining technical governance with project leadership.

This position places a senior IT professional in charge of the Order Management System (OMS) within a major banking institution. The role bridges technical application governance with strategic project management, ensuring the system remains stable, compliant, and aligned with evolving trading needs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full lifecycle of IT projects and maintain end-to-end governance for the Order Management System.
• Manage the maintenance and enhancement of the OMS to minimize errors and streamline dispatch processes.
• Track operational stability and application performance to ensure reliability.
• Collaborate with internal departments to implement new requirements or improve existing services, including network infrastructure.
• Build new integrations, market connections, and features within the 'Front Arena' trading environment.
• Support daily operations to guarantee safe, efficient, and continuous service delivery.
• Drive system stability improvements and increase automation efforts.
• Manage supplier relationships, monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and document performance metrics.
• Ensure strict adherence to the bank’s IT policies and maintain accurate documentation.
• Execute ad hoc projects as needed.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Proven technical and operational experience in a banking environment using the Front Arena trading system.
• Understanding of market data structures and trading protocols.
• Proficiency in Financial Information Exchange (FIX) protocol, Python, PowerShell, and SQL.
• Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative team spirit.
• Excellent organizational capabilities with a focus on delivering high-quality services.
• A service-oriented mindset with a practical approach and an interest in leadership and project management.
