SUMMIT RECRUITMENT AG seeks a Mid-level IT Security Engineer in Zürich to protect digital assets, manage SIEM and cloud security tools, and ensure regulatory compliance.
This position plays a vital part in protecting the client's digital infrastructure. The engineer ensures that all systems adhere to industry regulations while actively defending against cyber threats.
Responsibilities
- Operate and oversee Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems to identify and address security events.
- Administer Microsoft 365 security settings to safeguard emails, files, and cloud-based services.
- Set up and monitor Azure Sentinel to detect and respond to advanced threats within cloud environments.
- Build and maintain on-premise security layers, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection tools.
- Perform routine security evaluations and vulnerability scans to spot and reduce potential risks.
- Work with various teams to create and enforce security protocols and procedures.
- Analyze security breaches, manage incident responses, and develop corresponding action plans.
- Keep current with emerging cybersecurity threats, trends, and technological advancements.
- Offer technical support and training to internal staff and end-users.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated professional experience as a Security Engineer or in a comparable capacity.
- Strong expertise with SIEM platforms like Splunk, QRadar, or LogRhythm.
- Practical experience administering and securing Microsoft 365 environments.
- Deep understanding of Azure Sentinel and cloud security standards.
- Knowledge of on-premise security solutions, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and antivirus software.
- Fluent communication skills in both German and English.
Nice to have
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ are advantageous.
