IT Security Architect

SUMMIT RECRUITMENT AG seeks a Senior IT Security Architect in Zürich for a permanent, on-site role. The position focuses on designing secure architectures for Azure and on-premise systems, with strong requirements for IAM and M365 expertise.

This permanent position centers on establishing and maintaining robust security architectures. The successful candidate will ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability across both cloud-based Azure environments and on-premise infrastructure, while integrating security best practices into broader development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Create and sustain secure architectural designs for Azure and on-premise systems to protect data assets.
• Partner with various teams to embed security standards into software development and deployment lifecycles.
• Develop and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) frameworks, including secure authentication protocols.
• Leverage Microsoft 365 security capabilities to strengthen the organization's overall cyber defense.
• Perform regular risk, vulnerability, and security audits to detect and mitigate potential threats.
• Monitor emerging security trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement in security measures.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated professional experience as an IT Security Architect, specifically with Azure, IAM, and M365 technologies.
• Fluency in both German and English, with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Deep understanding of Azure security tools, including Azure Active Directory, Azure Security Center, and MS Defender.
• Proven ability to design IAM solutions, such as role-based access control (RBAC) and single sign-on (SSO).
• Practical experience administering and configuring Microsoft 365 security settings.
• Possession of relevant certifications like CISSP, CISM, Azure Security Engineer, or equivalent qualifications.

• Knowledge of industry-specific regulations, such as GDPR, and their impact on IT security.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with capacity for both independent work and team collaboration.
