Senior IT Security Architect

SCRT seeks a Senior IT Security Architect in Switzerland to lead security strategy and architecture for complex customer environments, requiring fluent Swedish and English.

This position serves as a strategic advisor to senior stakeholders, including CISOs and IT leadership, to define security architectures that reduce risk and enable business transformation. The architect owns the broader security vision, challenging assumptions and providing technical depth to ensure sound, value-driven decisions that support compliance and operational goals.

Responsibilities

• Drive security architecture projects within complex customer settings
• Create current-state assessments, target architectures, gap analyses, and transformation roadmaps
• Advise clients on Zero Trust principles, including identity-centric security, segmentation, least privilege, and continuous verification
• Design secure architectures for hybrid infrastructures, covering datacenters, networks, endpoints, applications, and cloud services
• Provide architectural guidance for AWS, Azure, and GCP environments
• Ensure security solutions align with business objectives, risk management, and regulatory standards
• Facilitate workshops and prepare decision-making materials for technical and business audiences
• Act as a strategic partner to CISOs, architecture boards, and program leaders
• Contribute to the evolution of internal methodologies and best practices in security architecture

Requirements

• Extensive background as a Security Architect, Enterprise Architect with a security focus, or in a similar senior advisory capacity
• Deep knowledge of security domains including Zero Trust, IAM/PAM, network, cloud, hybrid, endpoint, application security, data protection, and logging/monitoring
• Proven ability to translate security risks and requirements into concrete architectural plans
• Skill in leading workshops, facilitating decisions, and building alignment across technical and business groups
• Strong consultative approach with a focus on delivering customer value through security
• Experience developing strategies, target architectures, governing principles, and roadmap initiatives
• Solid understanding of major cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Fluency in both Swedish and English
• Comfortable taking senior responsibility in customer interactions
• Ability to constructively challenge and support customers
• Pragmatic mindset focused on real-world applicability of security solutions
• High integrity, professionalism, and a drive to make a tangible difference

Nice to have

• Professional certifications such as CISSP, SABSA, CISM, CCSP, TOGAF, or cloud-specific security credentials
• Background in regulated industries or critical infrastructure sectors
• Familiarity with frameworks like NIST CSF, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls
• Experience with SASE/SSE, microsegmentation, identity federation, or modern access control
• History of supporting large-scale transformation initiatives or security programs
