The company seeks a (Junior) Scientist for Quality Control of Raw Materials in Visp, Switzerland. The role focuses on ensuring material quality, method validation, and compliance with GMP/GLP standards.
This position plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of incoming materials through rigorous testing and analysis. The specialist will help refine analytical techniques while executing thorough quality assessments to support production standards.
Responsibilities
- Execute material inspections based on provided certificates and adhere to standard operating procedures.
- Work with the team to resolve technical issues and operational challenges.
- Assist in managing non-conformities, out-of-specification findings, and corrective actions.
- Maintain strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Laboratory Practices, and internal protocols.
- Contribute to ongoing enhancements of team workflows and operational methods.
Requirements
- Hold a university degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related scientific field.
- Possess early-career experience in quality assurance, ideally within pharmaceutical or biotech sectors.
- Demonstrate proficiency with standard analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, spectroscopy, ELISA, and SDS-PAGE.
- Communicate fluently in English.
Nice to have
- Understanding of GMP and GLP regulatory frameworks is beneficial.
- Proficiency in German is considered a plus.
