KYC Specialist -Private Banking - 12-month Temporary Assignment

Michael Page is seeking a KYC Specialist for a 12-month fixed-term role in Geneva. The position focuses on private banking compliance, requiring strong expertise in regulatory frameworks and multilingual skills.

This position supports Front Office and Compliance departments by managing the preparation, review, and validation of Know Your Customer (KYC) files. The specialist ensures that client documentation meets all necessary standards for onboarding and periodic reviews.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate the accuracy, completeness, and plausibility of KYC documents, including Source of Wealth and Source of Funds, while identifying potential red flags.
• Maintain up-to-date client records and ensure all documentation is properly archived and recorded.
• Assist with both new client onboarding processes and ongoing periodic review activities.
• Collaborate closely with Front Office and Compliance teams to guarantee timely completion of all KYC files.
• Ensure strict adherence to internal policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• At least five years of professional experience in KYC, compliance, or client documentation within the financial sector.
• Deep understanding of KYC regulations, including FATCA, cross-border rules, and sanctions.
• Prior work experience involving the Middle East market.
• Ability to read and review documents in Arabic.
• Current residence in the local area.
• Fluent proficiency in both English and French.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Classical Arabic is recommended.
