This position is responsible for overseeing downstream processing operations within a biopharmaceutical facility. The role focuses on driving operational performance, maintaining strict quality standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor operations staff to build a motivated and high-performing team.
- Oversee daily workflows, including production scheduling and resource management.
- Partner with quality assurance, maintenance, and supply chain departments to address challenges and enhance efficiency.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety guidelines, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and regulatory standards.
- Spearhead continuous improvement projects using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Track key performance indicators and utilize data to guide decisions and implement corrective measures.
- Oversee operational budgets and facilitate the professional growth of team members.
Requirements
- Prior experience in manufacturing or pharmaceutical operations, with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Solid knowledge of GMP and relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Proven track record of leading and developing teams to meet operational goals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- A degree in engineering, life sciences, business, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Fluent proficiency in English.
