MarTech Business Operations Manager

Roche seeks a MarTech Business Operations Manager in Basel to oversee governance frameworks and ensure technology investments drive tangible business performance within the GPS Advanced Analytics function.

Embedded within the Marketing Technologies (MarTech) team under the GPS Advanced Analytics for Business Insights (AABI) function, this position acts as the custodian of the operational 'run state.' The primary purpose is to ensure that technology investments translate into measurable business outcomes by overseeing business readiness frameworks and designing robust governance structures.

Responsibilities

• Audit current business workflows to pinpoint inefficiencies and design optimized future-state processes.
• Implement and maintain 'run-state' governance to manage ongoing changes to business processes.
• Collaborate with end users to evaluate how technical shifts impact operational and user layers.
• Identify gaps in the operational model that prevent the realization of expected value.
• Operationalize the governance framework to manage post-go-live changes effectively.
• Establish and track KPIs focused on process speed, cost-to-serve, and operational friction.
• Align stakeholders across vendors, RDT/IT, and business units.

Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in Business Operations or Service Delivery within a large-scale global environment.
• 5 years of experience in the commercial function of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or a closely related regulated industry.
• Proven track record in large transformation programs and managing complex 'project-to-operations' transitions.
• Over 3 years of direct people leadership or over 10 years of matrix leadership of distributed teams.
• University Degree in Business or a related field.
• Willingness to travel globally as needed (approximately 10-15%).

Nice to have

• An MBA or ITIL certification.
