Lonza seeks a Senior MSAT Bioconjugates Process Expert in Visp to lead process technology transfer, optimization, and troubleshooting for biopharma API manufacturing.
Based on-site in Visp, this position supports the Bioconjugation Manufacturing team by providing scientific expertise and operational leadership. The role focuses on delivering innovative biopharma manufacturing solutions while ensuring process stability and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and operational support for biopharma API manufacturing processes.
- Facilitate smooth process technology transfers and ensure manufacturability by working with Process Development, Operations, QA, and QC teams.
- Manage change control activities to keep manufacturing processes compliant and efficient.
- Support production campaigns and lead troubleshooting efforts on the shop floor.
- Optimize processes by analyzing data and preparing CPV and APQR documentation alongside data management teams.
- Identify opportunities for workflow, process, and asset improvements through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert to promote knowledge sharing and operational excellence across the organization.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or PhD in Bioconjugation, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on organic chemistry.
- Substantial industry experience in bioconjugation methodologies, biopharma manufacturing, or process development.
- Practical hands-on experience with downstream processing, including chromatography and filtration technologies.
- Strong understanding of bioprocess technologies and practical experience in cGMP manufacturing environments.
- Fluent proficiency in English.
Nice to have
- PhD degree.
- Prior experience specifically within the bioconjugates sector.
- Knowledge of the German language.
