Packaging Engineer

Coopers Group AG seeks a Packaging Engineer in Münchwilen AG to manage packaging data, support PPWR activities, and coordinate cross-functional projects on-site.

This position enhances the company's packaging engineering capabilities, particularly regarding PPWR-related tasks, data management, and portfolio screening. The engineer serves as a central link between Packaging Development and various stakeholders, including SPS, Biologicals, and F&P teams, while supporting testing activities.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to client Health, Safety & Environment policies and all applicable legal standards.
• Works closely with PT&E groups such as Analytical, Application, Formulation Development, and Logistics.
• Interacts with external partners, including universities and suppliers.
• Calculates project expenses, assesses supplier proposals, and tracks spending against the budget.
• Manages specific project elements and works with team members to meet deadlines.
• Establishes packaging qualification protocols, conducts studies, and suggests acceptance criteria under supervision.
• Utilizes fill and pack expertise in packaging design and collaborates with Fill & Pack Engineers.
• Creates and updates packaging data within master data management systems throughout the product lifecycle.
• Performs quality checks on filled and packed products following established quality control procedures.

Requirements

• A degree in Packaging Engineering (Bsc, MSc, or diploma) or equivalent professional qualification and experience.
• Knowledge of packaging development processes and industry-relevant practices.
• Strong capabilities in data management.
• Proven experience in leading packaging development projects.
• Ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders at a local level.
• Project coordination skills to maintain oversight, connect workstreams, and ensure compliant implementation of packaging requirements.

Nice to have
