SCHOTT Pharma Switzerland seeks a Product Engineer in St. Gallen to drive innovation in medical packaging, managing projects from concept to launch while ensuring quality and compliance.
This position acts as a key innovator and subject matter expert within the organization. The primary focus is on creating new products and technologies, with a specific responsibility to protect associated intellectual property rights.
Responsibilities
- Assess potential risks associated with critical functions in new packaging solutions.
- Manage complex roadmaps and customer-specific initiatives from initial idea through to commercial launch.
- Collaborate with senior staff to plan technical work packages, ensuring delivery meets quality, cost, and schedule targets.
- Conduct technical feasibility studies and assist with change management projects.
- Travel internationally for up to 20% of working time.
Requirements
- A university degree in Engineering or Life Sciences.
- Professional experience in product development for medical devices or pharmaceutical packaging (minimum 1 year for MSc/PhD holders, 3 years for Bachelor graduates).
- Practical knowledge of glass, rubber, or polymer materials, along with design control processes and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
- Fluent command of both English and German in written and spoken forms.
- Experience with injection molding technology.
