Michael Page is hiring a Payroll Manager for a 6-month contract in Geneva. The role focuses on leading end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring compliance, and managing compensation and benefits within an international context.

This position is responsible for overseeing the complete payroll lifecycle, prioritizing precision, regulatory adherence, and punctual execution. The incumbent will navigate a complex international setting, managing payroll calendars, reconciliations, and audit requirements while serving as a key advisor on compensation and benefits matters.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the full payroll cycle, guaranteeing accuracy, legal compliance, and on-time processing.
  • Manage payroll schedules, internal controls, reconciliations, and audit preparations.
  • Validate payroll results generated by internal staff and third-party vendors.
  • Track regulatory compliance and enforce adherence to company policies and laws.
  • Generate payroll reports and assist with budgeting and financial reconciliation.
  • Administer compensation structures, employee benefits, and leave management systems.
  • Maintain precise records of employee pay and benefit information.
  • Assist in rolling out new compensation strategies, policies, and benefit programs.
  • Provide expert guidance on payroll and compensation issues.
  • Identify ways to optimize processes and enhance service quality.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts in payroll and HR functions.
  • Participate in HR system upgrades and transformation projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive background in payroll, compensation, benefits, and HR operations.
  • Demonstrated success managing payroll in complex, international environments.
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms and advanced Excel functions.
  • Deep understanding of payroll governance and control mechanisms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and interact effectively with stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High degree of discretion, integrity, and confidentiality.
